Let's start in the office- Bold is an understatement for this room. But as busy as it looks in these pictures, it somehow all flowed together in person. The designers definitely know how to work their colors through a room! My favorite part is the desk- it's a great clue to what you'll find all over the rest of the house - my absolute favorite design style - rustic glam. They seem like a terrible match, yet they feel more like a perfect yin and yang when done right. Second favorite part of this room is the little coastal touch- a Pat Conroy memoir.
Moving to the opposite room is the den or sitting room. I can't say that I'm a huge fan of this room, but I'm pretty prejudice against dens to begin with. Most confusing to me, though, was the bar- amazing, beautiful, almost perfect- and yet it seemed so out of place. My personal experience is that party people love to congregate in the kitchen and living area and this house has a perfect flow for it! Minus the bar being on the opposite side of the wall. hm...Maybe people who buy $2M houses on Daniel Island are more the parlor type?

This bookshelf styling was perfect, though! Sweetgrass baskets, ocean wonders, and turquoise glass to add some polish... A Charleston home isn't complete without sweetgrass somewhere!
Off of the kitchen and next to the mudroom (about to show below) was a cute little bathroom. I don't like taking pictures of bathrooms usually, but I loved the framed print!
And last but not least- this was a favorite part of the house. Just past the den, the stairs to the second floor and a beautiful mudroom area awaited. I'm pretty sure every Coastal person needs to be pinning this image to a "Dream Home" board asap! :)
The mudroom was decorated the same on both sides- towels, boogie boards, and crab traps on top... so coastal.
To give you an idea of how this is flowing- go up one picture - the door to the right of that window (bottom, left) is the den. From where I'm standing to take the picture, the kitchen is to the right of me. Does that make sense? The downstairs is a square, looking at the house- office/den, living room/kitchen. And speaking of living room and kitchen- You'll have to wait a dreaded 3 days and then the beautiful living room light at the end of the tunnel will shine through Wednesday. :) It's totally worth the wait!
This is your place. if so it's great looking. I love it. Great decorating skills you have.
